Why am I fasting?

My goal is to raise enough to pay for Joe Alvarez’s salary, about $8,000 per year. Joe is from a small village outside Cochabamba, Bolivia. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and serves as the project engineer for the Kumurana Valley acid drainage remediation project in Potosi, Bolivia. His job is to coordinate work on the Kumurana Valley project and supervise volunteers.
