Azacillo, Bolivia – Eco Latrines for 27 Families
![]()
Located near our completed Inca Catarapi project; the elders of Azacillo have asked us to bring a team to build eco-latrines in their village. EWB-Kansas University did their Assessment Trip in December 2008, working with EWB-UMSA (Universidad Major de San Andres – La Paz). They found working with the Bolivian student engineers to be especially informative and helpful and look forward to further collaborations with them. EWB-KU and EWB-UMSA will begin construction in the summer of 2009.
EIA developed the project, matched it with EWB-KU, is providing all of the logistical and communications support, found a Bolivian Rotary Club for the Kansas Rotary Clubs to partner with for funding, and will do the follow up and training once the eco-latrines are built.
