Equis Sud – Joint Project with Habitat for Humanity – 100 families

Developing a water distribution system and sewage system for an urban community

Estimated Initial Investment expected to be $30,000 in materials and water well drilling contracts

Habitat for Humanity is creating a new community near the large city of Tarija in Southern Bolivia. This community will have 100 homes, built by Habitat for Humanity, and will be placed in a planned community near Tarija. Habitat contacted EIA about EIA and some EWB chapters providing the infrastructure for the communities such as sewage, potable water, and electrical lines.

The Equis Sud project will be undertaken by EWB-MST. They had their Assessment trip in November 2008 and will begin the Construction phase in May.
