One Sun, Many Hopes.
This month and next, Engineers in Action is celebrating. You’re invited.
Why a celebration? Because in a year filled with challenges and uncertainties, our work continues! New handwashing facilities are helping protect families against the Coronavirus, children who attended school without functional restrooms can now learn in a sanitary and dignified environment, and families who could not access health care or maintain employment for many months because lack of passage over a dangerous river can now safely walk across.
There is much to celebrate and Wisconsin Artist Nita Fitzgerald is helping us do just that with an extraordinary work of art illustrating the EIA mission and vision. Titled One Sun, Many Hopes, the 50×45 quilted wall hanging incorporates the textiles and symbols of the communities we serve in Bolivia, Ecuador and Eswatini.
Months of design, gathering fabrics, and careful stitching bring to life the simple truth that although we may be isolated by miles, geography or even a pandemic, we still rise under one sun. And under that sun, pursue our common hopes for health, education, prosperity and community.
One Sun, Many Hopes may become a treasured part of your home or office by making a donation to support the essential infrastructure we will build in 2021. For every $50 donated between now and December 21 you will earn one virtual raffle ticket. The drawing will take place and the winner notified on December 22 and shortly thereafter, this amazing one-of-a-kind work of art will be on its way to you.
